Itinerary

  • Dates: September 7-10, 2025

  • Location: Jackson Hole, Wyoming

  • Accommodation: Lodging in Jackson or nearby cabins

  • Transport: Rental vehicles for group travel

  • Hiking Focus: Scenic alpine trails, wildlife viewing, and breathtaking vistas

  • Bonus Activities: Do an Optional Scenic Wildlife Safari or Via Ferrata Adventure if you wish!

Day 1: Arrival & Grand Teton Warm-Up Hike (September 7th)

  • Arrival: Arrive in Jackson Hole (JAC). Early arrivals can explore the town, grab a coffee, or check out the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

  • Group Meet-Up & Check-In: Get settled into accommodations and meet your fellow hikers.

  • Afternoon Hike – Taggart Lake Loop (3.8 miles, 400 ft gain)

    • A perfect first-day hike through aspen groves and open meadows.

    • Stunning views of the Tetons reflecting in the lake.

    • Keep an eye out for moose and deer.

  • Evening Wildlife Safari (Optional)

    • Join a guided sunset wildlife safari in Grand Teton National Park.

    • Spot bison, elk, moose, and possibly a grizzly bear.

Day 2: Amphitheater Lake & Via Ferrata Adventure (September 8th)

  • Breakfast: Fuel up for a full day of adventure.

  • Morning Hike – Amphitheater Lake (10 miles, 3,000 ft gain)

    • A challenging but rewarding alpine lake hike with jaw-dropping Teton views.

  • Afternoon Via Ferrata Adventure (Optional)

    • Experience an exhilarating climbing route at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

    • Traverse suspension bridges, steel rungs, and exposed ridgelines.

    • No climbing experience needed—just a love for adventure.

  • Après Drinks (Optional): Celebrate at Million Dollar Cowboy Bar or Roadhouse Brewing Co.

Day 3: Delta Lake Hike (September 9th)

  • Early Breakfast: Eat before heading to the trailhead for a big day in the mountains.

  • Drive to Lupine Meadows Trailhead. Hike – Delta Lake (9 miles, 2,300 ft gain)

    • A stunning alpine lake with incredible views of Grand Teton towering above.

    • A challenging trail with steep switchbacks and a final scramble to reach the lake.

    • Enjoy a well-earned break at the striking turquoise waters of Delta Lake.

  • Evening Sunset at Snake River Overlook

  • Capture one of the most iconic views of the Tetons.

Day 4: Sunrise, Phelps Lake & Departure (September 10th)

  • Early Sunrise at Schwabacher Landing (Optional)

    • One of the best sunrise spots in the area.

    • Stunning reflections of the Tetons in the Snake River.

    • Moose, elk, and bald eagles frequently spotted here.

  • Morning Hike – Phelps Lake Overlook (4 miles, 700 ft gain)

    • A short but rewarding hike with sweeping views over Phelps Lake.

    • Feeling adventurous? Take a dip in the lake.

  • Breakfast & Check-Out: One last meal before saying goodbye to the Tetons.

  • Departure: Drive to Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) for afternoon flights.
