Ikon Extends 20/21 Pass Discounts to June 16

Alterra put out a press release this morning (here) announcing an extension of discounted Ikon Pass prices until June 16. At the early-bird rate, the full Ikon Pass costs $999 ($799 for renewals) while the base pass costs $699 ($599 for renewals). Nurses, military personnel, college students, and children are eligible for further discounts. Prices will go up on June 17.

Our Take

We previously said we hoped that the COVID outlook for next year’s ski season would clear up by Ikon’s previously announced deadline of May 26, and thus far, it arguably hasn’t. We’re glad Alterra is giving passholders this extra time to make their decision, although we wish they’d extend the renewal discount through at least September like Vail has done with Epic. It should be interesting to see if they extend the deadline again later.
