Keystone Opens Today After Receiving Last Minute State Approval, Fills First Week-Of Reservations

As many expected, Colorado’s Keystone Resort opened for the 2020-21 season today, November 6. This came after the resort had a particularly close call with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, which still hadn’t given the resort a thumbs up for opening as late as yesterday.

Only multi-day and season passholders can access the mountain before December 8, and due to COVID-related capacity restrictions, all visitors must book their days in advance through Keystone’s website. All reservations for the upcoming week are completely booked; after the booking page launched on November 5, weekend reservations filled up within an hour, while weekday spots filled up within a day. Week-of reservations for November 14 through November 20 will become available on November 11, and we expect to see bookings fill at a similar rate.

However, all core season days—December 8 to April 4—are still available. Passholders can hold reservations for up to 7 of these days at one time.
